A NEW exhibition depicting everyday life in two Dartmoor villages opens tomorrow (Friday) at the National Park Authority?s High Moorland Visitor Centre in Princetown.
?Two Dartmoor Communities? brings together images of Dunsford and Drewsteignton, including people, transport, farming, buildings and village views, which will be on show in the Dartmoor Gallery until January 22.
The residents of Dunsford exceeded their target of 1,000 photographs of their last year of the 20th century by 200, and a collection of 70 framed prints was created for future generations to enjoy ? a selection of which is in the
exhibition.
Drewsteignton-based photographer John Curno recorded life in his parish and the selection used were taken over a period of three years.
The visitor centre is open daily from 10am to 4pm but will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
