Bodmin Trophies Duchy

division 3

Tintagel 1

Callington 2

CALLINGTON'S patched up team were never in danger of losing this match, but with the scores level at half-time, the doubts were there.

Five minutes into the second half, Ben Wadland made a strong run down the left wing and his pass into the box allowed Ben Smith to scope the ball into the net.

Within ten minutes Smith got his second goal.

Andy Brown for Callington was laid flat by an accidental incident on 70 minutes, which resulted in a head wound requiring hospital treatment.

This reduced Callington to ten men as no sub was available and with Tom Reid carrying an injury, Tintagel pulled a goal back.

With a strong wind at their backs they threatened but credit must go to Callington who defended with great composure.
