WEST Devon and East Cornwall runners were among those on Sunday who took part in Launceston Road Runners Treggy 7 road race.

375 runners completed the seven mile course, starting in Launceston town square and finishing in the historic grounds of Launceston castle.

There were some superb performances. The overall winner and first male home, in a time of 38.14 mins was Daniel Alsop from St Austell running club second male home was Alex Milne of Enfield and Haringey AC in a time of 39.20. The first lady home in a time of 42.04, which was a course record, was Emma Stepto from Cornwall AC. The second lady home was Naomi Tier of Cornwall AC.
