DESPITE a wet break in the recent heatwave, this year’s Latchley, Chilsworthy and Cox Park Horticultural Show was well supported by locals.
More than 650 entries demonstrated the community spirit was alive and kicking at the 41st annal show.
The marquee was full of entries of vegetables, flowers, cookery items, wine making, art and junior writing among other things.
Attending the event and presenting the trophies was Sharon Moses, freelance horticulturalist, who is often heard on BBC Cornwall’s ‘Gardenline’.
Visitors enjoyed local entertainment from Circus into Schools, falconry, a horse and dog show, children’s sports and face painting. There were also a number of vintage vehicles on display, trade stands showing local produce and the Rubber Band supplied the music.
Organisers expressed thanks to Mr and Mrs John Nattle for all the help given and for the use of their field.
