l Marathon runner Kevin Marshall, from Lifton, who has run seven consecutive marathons for the community centre charity, will not be taking part in the marathon this year due to injury. To date he has raised, with others, more than £12,000.
However, he has a place in Ride London, a 100-mile bike ride, taking place on August 2 and will be looking for sponsors for this event. He has already started training.
In the meantime, his wife, Lavinia Marshall, will be running the Manchester Marathon on April 19 and is also raising funds for the centre.
Fundraising is continuing with a Family Magic and Illusion Show, which will take place on Saturday, May 16 at the Lewdown Victory Hall. Tickets available from Lifton and Lewdown Village Stores.
