Okehampton Argyle 2nd 3

Tipton St John 0

OKEHAMPTON continue to finish the end of the year in style with another no-nonsense victory over Tipton, who for the first 20 minutes looked to be hungry for victory.

Okehampton's first goal started from Steve Ausden's goalmouth clearance which found Mark Burdus via a couple of midfield touches.

His strong powerful run saw the striker just edging his marker for pace and coolly stabbing home past the keeper.

Okehampton stunned the visitors when the Tipton keeper raced off his line to punt the ball upfield.

The ball fell to Ian Reddington who hammered it back from 50 yards with the keeper stranded on the edge of his box.

The second half saw Okehampton take more control and only fine keeping kept the score down.

Continual pressure forced several corners and from Daniel Johnstone's one deep kick Ausden rifled home to give Okehampton their third.

This Saturday away v Culm 2.30pm kick-off.

l Okehampton Argyle first team secured a superb 2-1 win over Newton St Cyres on Saturday.
