TAVISTOCK took the lead in the first minute.
An early cross from Bray was converted by Lyle who doubled his account shortly afterwards with a good strike from the edge of the box.
Staddiscombe were rattled as Tavistock produced a greatly improved performance, showing more composure in defence and players supporting each other in attack.
Staddiscombe pulled a goal back following a quick counter-attack and further chances went begging for Tavistock.
Despite a strong start to the second half by Staddiscombe, Tavistock remained solid with Kelly and Johnston playing well at full back and Derbyshire marshalling the defence and clearing any danger.
Smith and McCall battled to control midfield and supply their forwards and the result was put beyond doubt when Lyle reached his hat-trick with a well struck shot.
The game remained open as Staddiscombe tried to score but were prevented by a great save from Webber.
