MAYOR of West Devon Cllr Robin Musgrave lent a hand at the Museum of Dartmoor Life earlier this week to celebrate CSV Make a Difference Day.

Volunteers turned out at the museum on Monday to help with a day of clearing, cleaning, shifting and sorting things at the premises.

Helpers preened plants, cleaned exhibits and did odd jobs around the museum throughout the morning. The event was organised by West Devon CSV and Volunteer Centre to celebrate CSV Make a Difference Day.

Held on October 27, Make a Difference Day is the UK's biggest day of volunteering, and provides opportunities for thousands of people to volunteer every year in activities across the country. In 2011, 70,000 people took part in more than 2,400 events across the UK.
