A MEDIEVAL manor is one of many points of interest on a field and woodland circular walk arranged by Calstock Footpath Society.
The planned route takes in Morwell and Morwellham and the now deserted riverside hamlet of Newquay, all playing a significant part in the recorded history of the upper Tamar Valley.
This walk of four miles has just one steep incline and strong shoes or boots are recommended. The walk is unsuitable for dogs and the society requests a donation of £2 from non-members.
The walk will take place on Sunday October 23, at 11am. The meeting point is at OS ref. 451713 which is immediately off the B3275 Morwellham Road junction near the old Toll House at Rock. Walkers should bring a packed lunch. For more information call 01822 832946.
