IF you fancy being a blushing bride for an evening and doing your bit for a good cause then step forward.
Elizabeth Moore of Zeal Monachorum, who runs County Bridal Wear is desperately seeking mature brides.
The volunteers will not be asked to walk up the alter ? but, instead, parade the latest bridal gowns down the catwalk.
The event is part of a Wedding Fayre organised by Sue Grigg and due to take place at the Waie Inn, Zeal Monachorum on Wednesday, February 5.
?We are doing it to help raise funds for Hospiscare. This is the first time I have organised something like this but it is quite a challenge,? said Mrs Grigg.
?But with all the help of other people I?m sure it will go well. What ever we have done we have always tried to make it enjoyable because we like people to come back. That?s what it?s all about.?
She has managed to get 15 stands relating to weddings at the fayre. Every aspect of the ceremony is covered from limousines to beauticians, marquees to stationery and from florists to catering.
The wedding gowns will be supplied from Elizabeth Moore who, as a farmer?s wife, diversified into bridal wear last April.
She is planning to have between six to eight ?bridal parties? on the catwalk each consisting of a bride, groom and bridesmaids.
?All the models are volunteers ? and I would really like to get a few mature brides, size 16 and upwards, to feature some of the wedding gowns,? said Mrs Moore, who is supplying all the dresses for the catwalk show.
If you want to be a bride for a night call Mrs Moore on: 01363 82688, or Sue Grigg on 01363 82895.
Tickets for the event are £2.50 including a glass of wine from the Waie Inn.
