A STICKLEPATH-based design company won praise from Rural Affairs minister Alun Michael when he visited one of their innovative projects last week. Imagemakers, who are also national heritage consultants, used audio, computer and mechanical interactives to convey how Goytre Wharf, a tourist spot near Abergavenny, was once a hive of industrial activity. Lifesize talking figures, brass rubbings, interactive information panels, hands on games and a look-through panel etched with images from the 1820s were just some of the methods used to help visitors learn about the site?s history.
