FAMILIES are being invited to enjoy a day of free activities this weekend as Dartmoor National Park hosts a family Play Day.
The Dartmoor Family Play Day, taking place at the High Moorland Visitor Centre in Princetown on Saturday from 11am, is a great introduction to the more playful side of Dartmoor which has plenty to offer adults and children of all ages and abilities.
Families can enjoy a great day out with mask making, outdoor art, bushcraft and buggy-friendly guided walks.
Activities will be led by Stonehouse Play Association and Dartmoor Rangers. There will also be free entry to the exhibition area for those taking part and information on a whole range of activities to do with families on Dartmoor this summer.
Visitors can bring along a picnic and a blanket to enjoy the 'mini-moorland garden' but to be prepared for rain or shine.
Indoor space will be available in case of wet weather.
