Mr Bones aka entertainer Rob Pudner was the special guest at the Museum of Dartmoor Life on Saturday, leaping out at young visitors exploring three storeys of spooky fun.

Animated statues lent by Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre included three witches cackling around a cauldron. Everyone dressed up and there were skeletons to spot in return for sweets.

Curator Kristy Turner said everyone enjoyed it, museum volunteers included.

‘We had one or two children who were a bit scared but mum and dad got them round,’ she said.

The museum is still open until December 2, Mon-Fri 11-3, Sat 11-1.
