THERE were plenty of full stomachs at Lamerton Village Hall last week at the charity Fab Fry Up event.

The fry up, organised by Millie Bickell, (pictured above, third left) raised around £1,050 for Macmillan Cancer Support. She is also hoping for match funding from Lloyds.

She said: 'We lost a friend earlier in the year at 39 and Macmillan was really supportive so I just wanted to do my bit for them. It was a really good turnout and we had really positive feedback.'

Millie expressed thanks to all the helpers on the day and to everyone who donated food for the event.
