THE children of Horrabridge will able to have some fun in the fresh air as a new playpark was opened in the village at the weekend.
Horrabridge Parish Council initiated the scheme to update the existing play area at Weir Park, after receiving a lot of requests from the village's children.
The playpark was funded by a £45,000 grant from Devon County Council through the government's Playbuilder programme.
The new equipment features a ground level trampoline, spinning tower, multi-unit with slide and climbing frame as well as several other pieces.
Chairman of Horrabridge Parish Council Don Yendle said: 'It is already a major success with children and parents alike.'
