STAFF at a West Devon pre-school group are celebrating an excellent report, following an inspection by Ofsted inspectors earlier this year.
The inspectors say that good progress has been made at Highampton Area Pre-School Group since the last inspection, and recommendations from the last report have been acted upon to provide enhanced standards of care for the children.
Picked for particular praise was the ?outstanding? way the pre-school group works in partnership with Highampton Primary School in introducing four-year-olds to school life.
The report said staff were committed, motivated and worked well together, organising a very good range of activities which assisted children in all areas of their development.
The pre-school also worked ?extremely well? in its partnership with parents.
Behaviour management was consistent and staff promoted good behaviour ?very well? ? as a result, children?s behaviour was ?exemplary?.
In considering early learning goals at the pre-school, inspectors found provision was good, very good or excellent throughout.
The Ofsted inspectors outlined a few areas for attention in the coming years and said their next inspection would take place in three or four years? time.
