A parade and service in honour of Remembrance Day will be held in Okehampton on Sunday, November 14.
The parade, led by the Okehampton Excelsior Silver Band, will set off from Fore Street at 10:30am and head to All Saints’ Church where a remembrance service will take place by the memorial. This will include the Last Post, a two-minute silence and the Reveille. An external service led by the Reverend Stephen Cook will follow. Afterwards the parade will march back to Fore Street and the town mayor and deputy lieutenant will take the salute.
Fore Street, Market Street, Lodge Hill, Vicarage Road and Church Avenue will be closed from approximately 10:15am.
