JUNIOR Life Skills, a West Devon Borough Council event for ten and 11 year olds, where engaging ‘real life’ scenarios are used to teach important safety lessons, took place last week.
Children from Okehampton Primary School in the West Devon area took part in action-packed sessions at Okehampton’s Parklands Leisure Centre earlier this week.
Youngsters learned vital new skills on how to keep themselves and others safe, plus they also learned how to be good citizens during the event, which was free for those who took part.
Scenarios for the Junior Life Skills were set by the council’s partner organisations, including the Royal Life Saving Society, the RNLI and the Dogs Trust.
