Peter Freeman, pictured here at Great Staple Tour, will be giving a talk about ‘Dartmoor Pixies: Myth, Legend and maybe the Reality’ at the Tavistock Guildhall tomorrow (Thursday, March 24).   Peter said he had always been fascinated by Dartmoor myths and legends ever since his mother Mary Freeman  told him stories when they visited the moor from her father’s house in Teignmouth. ‘While I don’t believe in pixies, I do think it possible that their supposed existence has some basis in reality, while the stories themselves form a wonderful treasure trove of folklore,’ he said.
