TAVISTOCK residents can turn out to see a public exhibition today (Wednesday) by Cavanna Homes outlining concepts for residential development on land at New Launceston Road.
The site has been allocated for development in the West Devon Local Plan and at the exhibition in The Bedford Hotel, that runs today from 3pm to 7.30pm, visitors can see a layout of a scheme for around 146 new homes.
At this stage Cavanna Homes is seeking feedback on the proposals specifically relating to matters such as access, landscape and open space.
Cavanna Homes Development Manager Michael Newman said: ‘As a Devon-based family homebuilder Cavanna Homes has always placed great importance on working with local people to help design developments that not only help to meet local housing need but also deliver wider benefits to the community.
‘In the past we have delivered four schemes in Tavistock; Foundry Mews, Waters Edge, Carmel Gardens, on the site of the old Monastery and Courtlands Road, all of which have been very well received.
‘The information gathered at the community consultation event will help to inform an outline planning application which we hope to submit to West Devon Borough Council later this year.
‘For people who have been unable to attend the event, there is an opportunity to view the initial proposals and comment via our consultation website newhomesfortavistock.co.uk
