OKEHAMPTON Round Table recently held a presentation evening at the Pavilion in the Park.
After a very successful and enjoyable Santa collection around Okehampton and the surrounding towns and villages at Christmas, the Round Table thanked those who came along and helped collect with Father Christmas.
Chairman Matt Wayman said: ‘We wanted to recognise those local community groups that supported the Father Christmas collections last December. The collection ran over 16 days and without the support of groups such as these we simply would not be able to cover such a large area.
‘We had members from Okehampton 2443 Air Squadron, Okehampton Rugby Club, North Tawton PTFA and Hatherleigh Football Club. A special mention must also go to Kelly and the ladies of Slimming World who came along and helped with the collection and nominated Hospiscare and the Mary Budding Trust to receive a donation on their behalf.’
