THIS year’s Okehampton Carnival proved a great success with lots of money raised for the event and a healthy number of entries.
Karen Penna from the carnival committee said: ‘There were lots of people out, lots of entries and it was a great day. The total from the collection boxes and last appeal was £2,085.29. We were hoping to break the £2,000 mark so we are very happy.’
The carnival committee expressed thanks to all those who took part in the carnival; the class sponsors, those who gave up their time to help on the day, the people who kindly gave donations and everyone who came out to support the carnival.
