SOUTH West Water will be holding a public meeting in regard to a new Gunnislake fish pass.

Following consultation with the Environment Agency, it was found that the River Tamar hosts the only spawning site for the allis shad fish in the UK. The fish pass on the Cornish bank at Gunnislake Weir is considered only to be effective for the passage of salmon and the information event will be about South West Water constructing a new fish pass.

The public meeting will be held at Gunnislake Village Hall, Fore Street on Tuesday June 20 between 2pm and 6pm.
