PUPILS of Lamerton Primary School gathered to bid farewell to the Rev Greg Stanton of St Peter's Church, after two decades in the village.

Mr Stanton is moving to Bovey Tracey after spending 23 years at St Peter's Church.

He gave his last service last week, a leavers' service for the Year 6 pupils, in which the children were given a bible. The service included a play by the pupils, a service and a baptism.

Everyone then returned to the school to watch the rest of the school perform a few short plays.

Mr Stanton was given a book token as a leaving present.
