The road has been closed at Spring Hill, Tavistock this afternoon after high winds brought a tree down across the road.

Police said: ‘We received a report of a tree having fallen on Spring Hill but resting on another tree over the road. It had caused damage to power lines so the road is currently closed in both directions whilst the tree is removed and damage repaired.  It was reported just before 2pm.’
