POLICE are warning they may prosecute if motorists continue to park on zig zag lines and cause obstructions outside Stoke Climsland Primary School.

Parents and guardians have been asked politely in the school newsletter not to park in this location because of safety reasons, but the problem is still occurring.

Callington sergeant Brett Phillips said: 'It has been an ongoing problem for some time. We will initially try to educate people into being more considerate, however, we are not ruling out possible prosecution for obstruction-type offences if it carries on.'

Police will also be monitoring speeds through the village as there have been reports of speeding.

Officers are looking into running School Speedwatch at Stoke Climsland whereby motorists can face a fine or a grilling from school children if they exceed the speed limit.

l People are being warned to lock their car doors after items were stolen from two vehicles in Hazelwood Road, Callington at the end of last week.

The items taken included ten CDs worth around £100. If anyone has information on these crimes they should call Callington police on 08452 777444.
