THE Salvation Army Corps in Tavistock will welcome two new officers this weekend.
The Salvation Army Corps at the United Reformed Church in Russell Street has been without commanding officers since December. The months since have been served by the retired officers, together with members of the congregation, as organised by secretary Anne Luxton.
The corps is now receiving two officers, Majors Dawn McGarvey and Linda Purdy, who will be inducted by the divisional commander, Major Martin Hill.
The congregation is looking forward to a continuance of progress made by the corps.
All are welcome to attend on Sunday, August 14 at 6pm.
