THE familiar sound of sleigh bells will ring out through streets in the Okehampton area in December as Father Christmas pays local communities a visit, with some help from his friends at the Okehampton Round Table.

Members of the Round Table will help Santa, who will be aboard his shiny illuminated sleigh collect money for local good causes. Huseholders can see Father Christmas drive through the streets, listen to festive music and possibly meet him.

Santa's first appearance will be at the Edwardian Evening on December 5, followed by a 'Christmas Wishes' evening at Country Lanes Garden Centre on December 6.

Father Christmas will then visit Okehampton, Sticklepath, South Zeal, Hatherleigh and North Tawton.

Dates will be displayed on the Round Table Facebook page, and Santa can also share the dates at the Edwardian Evening.
