SCHOOL children will be helping to maintain graves at Albaston Cemetery as part of a new Green Graves initiative.
The initiative will see children 'adopt' a grave that they will look after for people that may no longer be able to do so due to physical impairment or distance. The initiative is also promoting the planting of natural flowers in a bid to tackle plastic pollution.
This afternoon the children were practising their planting on a mock-up grave with help from Claire Roper.
