'ROBUST action' is being taken by an East Cornwall primary school after it was revealed that some SATs test scores were declared invalid following an investigation into administration concerns.
Stoke Climsland Primary School had several of last year's exam papers cancelled in grammar, punctuation, spelling and mathematics by the Standards and Testing Agency (STA) after doubts were cast over the validity of a series of tests taken by eleven year olds in May last year.
The children, who moved on to secondary school in September, were not asked to re-sit the tests and the results for the remaining reading and writing papers were not affected.
A spokesperson for the school said: 'The 2014 Key Stage 2 maths SATs results for pupils at Stoke Climsland Primary School were not formally published by the Standards and Testing Agency, following an investigation into concerns over the administration of last year's tests. The SATs results for the remaining core subjects were published as normal.
'Governors at the school have taken robust action, with advice from the local authority, to ensure that administration of future statutory tests is conducted appropriately.
