A SECTION of the B3212 will be closed for around two weeks from this Monday (November 4) in order to carry out urgent repairs to a damaged drain.
The road will be closed near Bughead Cross to the west of Moretonhampstead and diversions will be via Whiddon Down, the A30, Tavistock and Two Bridges and the same route going in the opposite direction.
There will be road closures in place for a large majority of the work and a signed diversion will be in operation.
Light vehicle access to businesses close to the closure point will be available using local roads.
A spokesperson from Devon County Council said: ‘Please note that the duration of the work is dependent on weather conditions and therefore may vary.
‘These are essential works to fix a damaged drain which is causing water to flow over the road. The works need to be carried out now to ensure drivers’ safety over the winter months. To ensure the safety of our workforce we are unable to carry out this work without a road closure. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.’
