IT was another busy month for East Cornwall runner Sharon Daw including a long distance trip to the age group triathlon championships at Wakefield in West Yorkshire. In the same week Sharon went to Redruth in Cornwall for the turkey trot of four miles and she was the first lady at the six moor miles for the second year running, beating her own record for the course.
Tavistock relays saw the East Cornwall Harriers win the ladies and Xavia in the juniors also won their relay. The next evening saw Chudleigh Carnival race of six plus miles, Sharon was second for the second year running. A hot Magnificent Seven saw sixth place, over all second in age group. One year on from the Norsman extreme ironman she is training for the UK ironman on September 7. She took part in the Bath triathlon on Sunday and although the conditions were hot, the bike course hilly, as was the off road run, she finished in a good time of 2hrs 50mins.
Sharon thanks all the car booters for their continued support so she can keep raising money for charities.
