A BUILDING firm from Throwleigh put together a big thank you to Devon Air Ambulance at the recent Chagford Show.
Character Builders ran their usual trade stand to demonstrate their traditional building methods working with lead, cob and lime.
But show goers were able to watch the stand's activity and have a free cream tea supplied by Character Builders with all donations to the Devon Air Ambulance.
The splendid sum of £116 was raised on the day and Character Builders are doubling the amount.
The firm have a personal interest in fundraising for the air ambulance as Tom Diffey, company director of Character Builders, was air lifted after collapsing on a fun run last year.
He said: 'My rescue cost three thousand pounds so our fundraising has a little way to go yet, the cream teas are only just the start! It was great that so many show goers showed their support for Devon Air Ambulance through their donations.'
