BOB Brown, the international ultimate distance runner, will start the first Bratton Hill Challenge this weekend.
Bob, from Stoke Climsland, recently became the first British winner of the prestigious ?Run Across America?.
The seven-mile route around Bratton Clovelly can be tackled as a run, walk or jog, depending on your level of fitness.
The competitors sets off at 10.30am this Sunday from the starting line by the church and follow the seven-mile scenic route around the parish to finish at the village hall.
The challenge will be followed by a hog roast barbecue. Entry is £5 and can be accepted on the day. Any proceeds from the event will be split between Boasley Cross Primary School, Bratton playgroup and the church hall. For further information contact Mark Duddridge on 01837 871426.
