IN a match sponsored by Marie Larvin of the Edgcumbe Hotel, Bere Alston recorded their fifth consecutive win to keep their 100 per cent record for the season. Bere took control of the game almost immediately by putting Tywardreath under constant pressure with Steve Pratt opening the scoring after ten minutes.

Bere continued to press forward with Steve Westlake and Lee Brooks combining in midfield to send the ball forward for Lee Hodgson to score Bere's second. Just after the half hour, Will Westlake collected the ball in his own half and went on a blistering run through the Tywardreath defence leaving a trail of destruction in his wake before unleashing an unstoppable, perfectly placed shot.

The visitors pulled back a goal just before half time when Mark Tozer collected a rebound to rifle home from the edge of the area.

The second half was mainly played in the Tywardreath half as they were outclassed by Bere Alston who stretched their lead with Ross Hann's twelfth goal in five games, before Will Westlake added his second of the game to leave no doubt as to where the three points were going.
