Witheridge 2
Tavistock AFC 4
IN mid week the Lambs made the long trip to Witheridge, and although not playing at their best, recorded a four goals to two victory. This was Witheridge's first home defeat of the season.
The Lambs fell two goals behind in the opening half an hour. They then missed a penalty to reduce the arrears, but Glen Hobbs scored on the stroke of half time.
Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time had desired effect, and the visitors went on to score through Glen Hobbs, Will Stringer and Mike Landricombe, to record a hard earned victory.
Tavistock AFC 3
Ivybridge Town 0
The Lambs kept in touch with leading trio recording their fourth straight win over Ivybridge at Langsford Park. Tavistock started at tremendous pace and created two half chances in the opening minutes.
The Lambs were really back to their best, playing some great football. Preassure from Tavistock caused Bridger's keeper, Dace Painter, to slice his clearance from a Lee Bevan cross, leaving Adam Carter with an empty net in which to steer the ball. The Lambs continued to dominate, Carter became provider two minutes before the break by running from the half way line, Glyn Hobbs, who had two efforts blocked.
The second half saw Ivybridge having a fair share of open play, but with the Lambs excellent defence Ivybridge found it difficult to break them down to get a chance at scoring. This victory moves the Lambs up to fourth place in the league table.
