THERE was a festive slant to the regular outreach surgery in Lifton recently.
Complimentary mince pies and coffee were provided to all who attended the drop in session that aims to bring a wide range of public services to rural communities.
Customer service officers were joined by representatives from Devon & Cornwall Police, Westcountry Energy Action, Lifton Parish Council and Lifton Community Project offering help and advice on a range of issues.
Local resident, David Vero, was the lucky winner of the prize draw, winning a fabulous cream tea for two, donated by the Arundell Arms, which is the venue for the fortnightly surgeries.
The outreach surgeries, a borough council initiative and run by their Connect team, bring local services to local people.
