THEY were battening down the hatches in the Charter Hall last Saturday, as Entertainingly Different provided a raucous afternoon of family fun to raise money for Okehampton Carnival.
Children got to enjoy an afternoon of pirate themed songs, stories, games and silliness with Rob, Dexter and the whole Entertainingly Different team.
Organised as a fundraiser by the carnival committee, the family fun afternoon was the second event of Okehampton Carnival week.
The carnival day fun kicks off this Saturday, October 19, with a coffee morning in the Charter Hall at 9am.
From 1.15pm, the hall will be full of bright and colourful costumes for the children's fancy dress competition. The carnival prince and princess will be crowned at School Way shortly after 3pm, with the children's procession starting at 3.15pm.
The carnival queen will be crowned outside the Masonic Lodge shortly after 7pm, with the main carnival procession starting at 7.15pm. Afterwards, the fun of the fair comes to Simmons Park for the evening.
Rob and Dexter from Entertainingly Different will be a part of the carnival, keeping young and old alike entertained on Fore Street on carnival night.
