PUPILS?from Bridestowe Primary School enjoyed a summer swimming gala and an active and healthy living day, before the end of term in July.

On July 14, the swimming gala was held at Launceston pool and allowed the children to showcase their swimming skills. The teams — cyclones, typhoons, tornadoes and hurricanes — competed with cyclones winning overall.

l The school also played host to an active day, which featured a Devon Norse smoothie-making bike!

Pupils at the school learned about nutrition, exercise and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. They made and designed smoothies and learned of the importance of regular exercise.

The children also competed in races, including a fun animal race.
