MARIE Curie Cancer Care has launched its first Dartmoor Challenge event. The challenge will take place on September 9 and the circular route will start at Widecombe-in-the-Moor. It will cover picturesque villages and take in cream teas, as well as exploring open, rugged landscape and local myths and legends such as Jay?s grave. The route will be ten miles with an entry fee of £10 ? all participants are asked to raise a minimum of £100 for the charity, which provides nursing care for terminally ill patients in the comfort of their own homes.
