A fallen climber was helped in a joint rescue operation between Tavistock Fire and Recue crews, a Dartmoor Search and Rescue team, South Western Ambulance Service and Devon Air Ambulance.

The casualty fell at the Dewerstone at Shaugh Prior on Saturday (August 19) and was carried to safety with the support of the fire crew over difficult terrain. The casualty was carried to a waiting ambulance.
