THE magic and wonder of Hogwarts came to Okehampton Library on February 2 for a Harry Potter Book Night.
Children could go to the library to make their own wands in Ollivander’s Wand Shop, then make their way to Hogwarts to practise their transfiguration, conjure potions, make golden snitches and catch keys.
The witches and wizards also helped to find the fantastic beasts that had escaped around the library.
The fun continued for children during half term with a Harry Potter craft activity on Tuesday, February 14 from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. Also running until Saturday is a Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them treasure hunt, where visitors can test their Harry Potter knowledge with a quiz to win an illustrated copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Quizzes are available from the library until February 18.
The library team expressed its thanks to the volunteers who gave up their time to organise and supervise the event.
