GULWORTHY Primary School pupils have been getting active in the sunshine after receiving a donation of sports equipment from the Active Villages project.
Active Villages aims to encourage villagers to participate in physically active sessions and provides administrative aid and funding to allow this.
Headteacher Melody Nicholls said: 'Active Villages has been supporting local villages to develop sport.
'We have been lucky enough to have fencing, street dance and running clubs paid for by Active Villages.
'They have also given us two huge bags of equipment for our use in the future.
'They have been superb at supporting pupils at Gulworthy.
'The initiative is coming to an end for us but we have really valued the expertise they have shared and opportunities they have provided.'
