WEST Devon boys? hockey team have been in action again in the Devon U15 Junior league.
Sunday?s match, played at Exeter University, saw them missing three first choice players, but still start strongly.
They took the lead through a goal from open play by Chris Paull. A short corner strike by Olly Cowen-d?Arcy extended this lead before half-time.
A second half fightback saw Exmouth pull back a goal and the West Devon defence only just hung on for victory as Exmouth hit both posts.

The result was compensation for last week?s thrilling encounter with last season?s champions Ottery Crickets.
West Devon took the lead through Johnny Wickstead, but found themselves 4-1 down at half-time.
Three goals in ten minutes by player of the match Richard Greenaway were added to by Olly Cowen-d?Arcy to give West Devon a 5-4 lead.
Two goals from the opposition, each side of a second by Cowen-d?Arcy saw the score 6-6 with two minutes left.
A bitterly disappointed West Devon conceded a further goal to separate two excellent sides.
West Devon have one match left, a re-arranged fixture against E C V Hornets, for which a date has yet to be set.
