A WEST Devon cheese maker is celebrating after scooping a clutch of awards at the Royal Bath and West Show. Taw Valley Creamery, located in North Tawton, is part of the Cheese Company and Milk Link. The creamery won an outstanding 8 awards including winning the second round of the Danisco Grand Prix for its Mature Cheddar and gold awards for its Double Gloucester, Pair of Territorials (Double Gloucester) and Organic Hard Cheeses. It took home silvers for its Churton and Pair of Territorials (Red Leicester) and bronze for its Red Leicester and Tickler Extra Mature Cheddar, which also won the Black Diamond Challenge for the best film wrapped cheese. Neil Kennedy, chief executive of Milk Link said: 'Much of our milk comes from dairy farmers in the South West and as such it is particularly pleasing to do so well at the prestigious Royal Bath and West Show. 'These awards not only recognize the quality of our cheese, but also are testament to the skill and dedication of our creamery staff.'
