JUST under 70 tractors gathered in Highampton on Sunday, August 28 to take part in a charity tractor run.
Organised by Richard Cleave, the event was held to raise money for the Highampton Church roof fund.
The route took the tractors through Sheepwash, Dipper Mill, muddy fields, Dunsland Park, Lashbrook, Black Torrington and back to Highampton. Once parked up, drivers enjoyed a hog roast and cakes.
The parochial church council expressed thanks to Richard, Tony Knight for hosting at the Golden Inn, Willie Cleave for donating the hog roast, everyone who donated cakes or helped through the day and those who attended.
A total of £1,340 was raised.
