TAVISTOCK, who were joint top of the league, got off to a slow start against Elburton.

After 20 minutes of play Town picked their game up with Danny Rowe doing most of the running, dominating the right wing.

Villa were denied a goal in the first half with a block from Josh MacDonald and Will Carter getting a toe to the ball.

Rowe kept up the pressure on the right and Tavistock were rewarded just before half time when Ben Cole slotted the ball past the keeper.

In the second half ten men Town kept the pressure on a much taller Villa side and went 0-2 up when Seth McNamara scored with a great strike.

Elburton got one back after beating the defence on the turn at pace.

Tom Green had a good game in midfield and set up Cole for his second goal. Tavistock keeper Josh made some great saves but Villa broke through to make the final score 2-4.
