OKEHAMPTON welcomed the annual visit by the Two Moors Festival recently, hosted by the Friends of All Saints Parish Church.
On October 22, violinist Alina Ibragimova and her pianist Cedric Tiberghien performed at a concert in All Saints church, the acoustics always much appreciated by the festival organisers.
George Ware chairman of Friends of All Saints said: ‘Both these artists lead flourishing international careers and we were very excited to welcome them to our church. They performed a programme of violin and piano sonatas by Mozart and the church was packed.
‘As usual, suppers and selected wines were available and the whole evening was very successful. Funds for the friends were raised, who help to maintain the church for everyone.
‘The festival ran from October 15-25 and this year celebrated the festival’s fifteenth anniversary, offering an enticing range of concerts in churches throughout Dartmoor and Exmoor. The concerts included chamber music, recitals, workshops and an orchestral concert.’
