Bodmin Trophies Duchy division 3

Dobwalls 3

Lamerton 0

HAVING lost a tight match in midweek to Callington, where Dan Healy scored their only goal, Lamerton travelled to league leaders Dobwalls needing a win to keep alive any hopes of league success.

They got off to the worst possible start by going a goal down after one minute with Craig Walton scoring for Dobwalls and never really got back into the game. A few half chances were created but they were never able to sustain any real pressure on a solid Dobwalls defence.

The second half began in the same competitive fashion and Lamerton needed the next goal to get into the game.

Paul Cowling and Kev Swift came close but Dobwalls were always quicker on the break and Walton bagged his second to seal the game. Stuart Dunn finished off the scoring and while the final 3-0 scoreline may have been a little harsh on Lamerton they were definitely second best against a team hot favourites to take the title.

This Saturday, home in the league to Roche, kick-off 2.30 pm.
