THE Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) team is inviting people to share their thoughts and ideas, as they move towards the next five years in conserving and enhancing this special landscape.

People can meet the team at one of the following venues, or can make their views known from the comfort of your own home by visiting between October 19 and December 15.

Saturday, October, 19, 11am–4pm, Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, near Torpoint; Saturday, October 26, 9am–noon, Tavistock Library; Saturday, November 2, 9am–noon; Stoke Climsland Village Market, The Old School; Saturday, November 9, 12.30pm–5pm, The Long Gallery Café Bar, St Germans; Saturday, November 16, 9am–noon, Tamar Valley Centre, Drakewalls; Sunday, November 24, 8am-12.30pm, Bere Ferrers Parish Hall foyer, Bere Alston.

Hard copies of the Plan will also be available to view from October 19 to December 15 at parish/town councils, one-stop shops and libraries throughout the Tamar Valley.

Chair of the Tamar Valley AONB Partnership, Cllr Neil Burden, said: 'There is a requirement that local authorities review and produce a management plan for each AONB in their area every five years.

'In order that we deliver this statutory edict and receive the Defra grant we, the Tamar Valley AONB Partnership, have over the last few weeks produced on behalf of the local authorities our draft plan and now share this plan for public comment.

'We have always been very grateful for the support we receive and once again ask that as many people as possible have their say. Do come along to the events listed or visit our website to add your comments. The period for consultation is just eight weeks.'

Letting the AONB team know what you think about the Draft Plan also gives the chance to win one of two prizes — a basket of local produce from Tamar Grow Local (worth over £35), or a cream tea for four at the National Trust's Cotehele.
